Illustrative data. Your rules, approval policy and systems define the actual outcomes.

Repair the ASN before it blocks receiving.

Before

  • Rejected ASN rows split across files and tickets
  • The receiving team repeats the same SKU and UOM investigation
  • An API "success" hides unresolved discrepancies

With SAIL

  • One failure queue, grouped by cause
  • Approved corrections applied consistently across the batch
  • Accepted quantities reconciled; uncertain records stay visible
01FindThe supplier sends a carton quantity and an unknown item alias.
02ExplainCompare supplier pack, ERP item and warehouse UOM rules.
03RepairApply approved conversions and hold uncertain lots.
04ProveRevalidate, post once and reconcile the receipt acknowledgement.

Exception handling

Auto-correct. Hybrid. Manual.
You define the cycle.

Recovery closes only with backend evidence. AI proposes. Your policy authorises.

Auto-correct

When the fix can be proven from an authoritative source (a lookup, a master record, an approved mapping), SAIL corrects it, revalidates it and releases it. No touch, full evidence.

For exampleItem aliases and carton-to-unit conversions are corrected from approved crosswalks: 190 records accepted with no touch.

Hybrid

SAIL stages the correction with the evidence. Your team approves it in one step, for a single record or a whole cohort.

For exampleA wrong parcel label is caught at the scan. Dispatch is held, and the relabel is approved and verified against the manifest.

Manual

When judgement is needed, the record is held, owned and routed to the right expert with its cause, impact and SLA clock. Nothing is invented.

For exampleA missing lot or expiry needs physical receiving evidence, so it is routed to the floor. SAIL never invents a quantity, a serial or physical inventory.
Detect→Explain→Act→Revalidate→Verify
